The Court Services Division is overseen by Lieutenant G. Michael Pierce.  As the name implies, Court Services Deputies are responsible for providing a safe environment within Union County's Courts during all sessions.  This includes Superior Court, Grand Jury, Juvenile Court, Probate Court, and the Magistrate Court.  Court Services Deputies also function as a liasion between the Court System and the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies are present at all times when the building is open when any court is in session. In light of recent events security is stringent and no weapons of any kind are allowed in any of these facilities. Metal detectors are operated at the entrance to the facilities to ensure the safety of visitors and employees.

The Court Services Division consists of one Lieutenant, one Sergeant, and two deputies.

Additionally, the Court Services Division administers the Civil Services Division.  Sergeant Hutchinson handles most civil matters that take place within Union County.

The Civil Division of the Union County Sheriff's Office is tasked with processing and serving civil papers and handling other civil matters as they arise. Civil papers are received from our local courts as well as courts throughout the country. After incoming papers are processed they are served by uniformed deputies to citizens and businesses located in Union County.

The hours of operation of the Court Services Division are dependent upon court sessions and any activities that occur at the courthouse.  Court Services Deputies are always present in the courthouse from Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.
